Sekondi MP donates medical equipment to Zongo health center, plans to upgrade the facility to 50-beds capacity
The Member of Parliament for Sekondi, Blay Nyameke Armah, has presented medical equipment worth GH¢600,000 to the Sekondi Zongo Muslim Community Health Center to boost healthcare delivery in the constituency.

Addressing residents at the ceremony, the MP conveyed his goodwill to the people and explained that the donation forms part of his broader commitment to improving health delivery in Sekondi, a community he said has been neglected in terms of health infrastructure.
He noted that the area has never had a hospital of its own, relying instead on the regional hospital which serves the entire region.
According to him, enhancing healthcare delivery was a key priority agreed upon with his constituency executives during the electioneering period. This led to the selection of the Sekondi Zongo Muslim Community Health Center, which had been operating without essential equipment, for immediate support.
The items donated included delivery beds, nebulizers, infusion stands, portable oxygen cylinders, ultrasound scanners and other vital medical supplies to strengthen service delivery at the facility.

Hon. Nyameke Armah, beyond the donation, also pledged to assist in upgrading the center into a 50-bed facility to meet the healthcare needs of the growing population.
He described the intervention as a fulfilment of his campaign promise and a personal sacrifice in appreciation of the confidence reposed in him by the electorate.
The support and the proposed expansion are expected to significantly improve access to quality healthcare delivery for residents of Sekondi, especially those in the Zongo community and its environs.
