The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has approved filing fees for aspirants seeking various national executive positions, with candidates for National Chairman required to pay GH¢100,000.
The approved fee schedule covers 14 positions within the party, including National Chairman, General Secretary, National Organiser, communications officers, youth and women’s organisers, and members of the National Executive Committee.
Under the arrangement, aspirants contesting for National Vice Chairman and General Secretary will each pay GH¢80,000, while candidates for National Organiser are required to pay GH¢70,000.
The fees form part of the party’s preparations for its internal elections to select officers who will oversee its national administration and organisational activities.
The NDC has directed aspirants to make all payments online through its designated platform, forms.ghanandc.com.

The National Chairman position attracts the highest filing fee of GH¢100,000, followed by the General Secretary position at GH¢80,000.
The National Organiser position carries a fee of GH¢70,000, while aspirants seeking the National Vice Chairman and Deputy General Secretary positions will each pay GH¢60,000.

The same fee applies to the National Women’s Organiser and Deputy National Women’s Organiser positions, subject to the special provisions for female candidates with disabilities.
Membership of the National Executive Committee carries the lowest filing fee on the approved schedule, at GH¢10,000.
In addition to the filing fees, all aspirants are required to pay GH¢2,000 to obtain a nomination form.
Concessions for women and persons with disabilities
The approved fee structure provides concessions for female aspirants and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Under the arrangement, female candidates and PWDs will pay 50 per cent of the approved filing fees for the various positions, except for the National Women’s Organiser and Deputy National Women’s Organiser positions.
The concessions are intended to reduce the financial burden on eligible aspirants seeking to participate in the party’s internal electoral process.
The approved schedule sets out the financial requirements for candidates seeking national executive positions as the NDC prepares to elect officers responsible for directing its organisational and administrative affairs.
