Mahama orders probe into alleged paid overseas scholarships
President John Dramani Mahama has directed the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) to probe allegations of impropriety in the award of overseas scholarships.
According to information available, the President described the allegations as serious and a matter of grave public concern, reaffirming the government’s commitment to transparency, integrity and equal access to educational opportunities.
The NIB has been mandated to establish the factual basis of the claims, identify any individuals involved and verify the circumstances surrounding the allegations. Its findings will be submitted to the President for review and any necessary action.
